KLEENEX® Lends A Helping Hand On World Hand Hygiene Day!

Do you know when is World Hand Hygiene Day?  *read the post till the end..*

I recently received another package from IN.Deed Communication, which has a package of Disney-themed Kleenex® Hand Sanitizing Moist Wipes Multipacks! together with some other items show below:-

The package..

The happy faces...

The 2 things that attract the Princess the most..

Of course, in the package, it has the press statement, and I super agree with Mr Sumeet Parab when he mentioned “At Kleenex®, we support the importance of a good hand washing routine but we also have a motto we live by when we find ourselves in situations where water is not readily available – when in doubt, wipe,” says Mr Sumeet Parab, Marketing Manager of Kimberly-Clark Malaysia. “We want to encourage people to live their lives to the fullest without being afraid of dirt or germs. This is especially important for young children who are naturally curious, and for whom exposure to nature and to outside surroundings is an important part of their developmental process. By keeping a pack of Kleenex® Wipes in your bag and in your car, you can easily keep your hands – and your children’s hands – clean while on-the-go.”

I always carry a pack of wipes in my bags along with all my other 'must have' items such as wallet and camera

Let me show you an example of why I always need that...
For Princess wiping her hands and mouth when we eat out especially recently she love the high chair instead of the normal chair..
Sometimes, I find the highchairs are stained with dirt, and I try to wipe it before letting Princess sitting on it

When Kleenex first launch of this convenient pack, I wrote an entry for it HERE.  My first experience of using the wipes as describe:
I opened a packet to try when I received it, and it smells good!!  Besides, it kills 99.9% germs Bacteria and flu viruses.  It is also alcohol free (which is very important to me coz Princess loves to play with wet wipes!!).

Having a convenient, ready-to-use solution within reach is the key to keeping the hands clean, whether at school, at work, spending family time outdoors, running errands or on vacation – Kleenex® Hand Sanitizing Moist Wipes come in small, portable packs that the whole family can use and appreciate. Stash them in bags, glove compartments and office drawers so it’s easy to remember that we should clean our hands before eating and drinking, after playing or touching pets, in-between errands, after coughing or sneezing, and in many other situations in and outside of the home.

Below is the 2 designs currently available for your choice!

The multipack Disney-themed Kleenex® Hand Sanitizing Moist Wipes (in bundles of three single packs) are priced at RM6.90, and for a limited time, Kleenex® is also giving away cool children’s activity books and water bottles with every purchase.  To get instant updates and learn more about the product and about keeping our hands clean, participate in interesting discussions and activities and be a fan of the Kleenex Malaysia sharing movement at http://www.facebook.com/Kleenex.Malaysia, or call Kimberly-Clark Consumer Care-line at 1-800-82-1188 (toll-free) on weekdays from 9am to 5pm.

*The World Health Organization (WHO) has been observing May 5 as the World Hand Hygiene Day since 2009.

Sitting in as Receptionist

As you know, I have been required to sit in during my lovely receptionist who went for her maternity 2 weeks ago.  Since these 2 weeks, nothing much happened.. all well going.. I am enjoying every bits of my time here.. LOL!

Today, I wanted to share an incident which make me scratch my head...

In my office, day in day out, we have professional consultants coming to the office for meetings on different projects and TODAY, a consultant came, went into the meeting room... and while he walked out of the room due to his mobile phone ringing... He was 'chatting' on the phone while walking out to my reception area, came behind the counter, took my scissors WHILE I AM STILL SITTING THERE and CUT the sweets (the single individual pack Mentos)!  FYI, My scissors was placed inside the stationary holder!! and after CUTTING, he left it there on the table without putting in back to it's place!!

It caught me off guard, and that it took me surprise that this consultant didn't realized that he was actually in his client's office and NOT HIS OWN!!  He continue to talk on his phone LOUD and chatting with the other party and WALKING up and down the office aisle.  I was annoyed by that, as he was not just LOUD, but don't you think it's very impolite for you to walk over to your client's office reception counter without ASKING and TOOK the scissors?  Moreover, I might be handling some P&C stuff right...

I mean, don't too engrossed on your 'gossip' conversation, until you forgot where were you!!  Even you don't represent yourself, you do represent your CONSULTANCY firm right?  Where is the Courtesy?  Furthermore, how difficult is that for one to open a sweet plastic like below?

I was waiting for him to finish his conversation, and at least says excuse me or sorry but after he finished his 'gossips' he just went back to the meeting room!

I was laughing inside myself for this kind of behavior that happen.. How come nowadays the younger generation was not taught about 'menace'?  Mind you, the 'consultant' is about in 20s to early 30s...

Stainless Steel Electrical Lunch Box

Another wish list gone, and I can tell you that I basically done with the wish list for now.  I bought this electrical lunch box early this month, and I have been using it since.  It's been 2 weeks that I didn't go out for lunch, and I get better lunch hour now!

I first saw this item on one of the coupon site, however hesitated in buying which the deal lapse.  I search through all the info provided, and contacted the seller personally, and to my surprise, the seller was one quick and easy to deal with person.  We have an exchange of a few emails, and voila, I make my transfer online, and within less than a week, I got the product delivered to my office (with some hiccups between the courier company, the delivery was delayed but nevertheless, I am happy)

Let me first introduce you to the website, http://www.sexybabeswardrobe.com

And here, I show you the pictures of what I have with me..

Stainless Steel Electrical Lunchbox with a set of chopstick, fork & spoon
Multipurpose usage
Important:  Stainless Steel interior bowl
I spoke to the seller, that should the product served me well, and here is that I want to tell her that YES, I am super duper happy with it.  I have been taking my leftover dinner to work, and sometimes, I take raw vegetables, and some fish and chicken!  Not only I can eat leftovers, I am taking fresh stuff too sometimes.

I will try to take photos of my lunch if possible (sometimes too hungry till I forgot about it).  The preparation time for this also easy.  It takes me around 20 minutes, I can have nice, hot food served.  I am thinking this is better than microwave right?

Now, only during lunch dates, and also Wednesday (office will provide lunch), I bring this toy of mine to work with my lunch.  All happy for the last 2 weeks!  :D  Can you imagine I am not spending over lunch for the last 2 weeks? LOL!  *this is happier*

A Kettle Calling a Pot Black - Episode 2

The story continues from HERE, where the rubbish left and thrown by yours truly here!

You think the story should just end there, since it's also the end of the day?  Very unfortunate, it did not!  When the Kettle whistling so loud that HE is someone that got 'sau mei', wash day in day out, and blah blah blah... he forgot that the Pot is also doing the same.. but the Pot now learns to take evidence of the sau mei instead...

1st, The Pot saw the cap of the fabric wash in the toilet adjourning to the room of the Kettle and the bottle of fabric wash is actually place in the common toilet!  This means, the Kettle has took a cap of the fabric wash, happily washing in his toilet, and left it there after use... THIS IS CALL YAO SAU MEI?   And the Kettle took it back to where it supposed to be, close the cap, and done with it.

2nd, The Kettle and the Pot shared the same toilet, and due to the reason that the WC was not in good order, the Pot actually put a spare pail in the toilet to facilitate the washing and keeping water in the toilet.  But very unfortunate, the pail went missing!!!  In addition, the stool that Pot put in the toilet also change ownership without consent!  So, this is call YAO SAU MEI?

I don't mean to be petty at times, and I seldom being the calculative ones.  If I am one that calculates, I won't last till now.. I don't have to suffer for the first 2 years of the birth of my child... BUT, iHATE being taken for granted and people start claiming 'glory' when they are just doing the smallest thing ever!!  For goodness sake, The Kettle better start counting his blessing before he counts his contribution!  iHate when the other relatives called and ask if we are being 'supportive' for Kettle business!  How to be consider supportive?  Isn't letting him doing what he wants being supportive if Kettle thinks that the best for him?  We won't be taking out a few thousands to support a business and for those who thinks they are supportive (and we are not), kindly do your part by buying the products yourself!

Sometimes at certain level, we cannot be just monetary support, but physically being there, providing ALMOST everything (if Kettle not being picky) are good enough.  I remembered when I am down, I had the same treatment too!  I climbed the difficult pathway myself too!  The family is already consider supportive in this matter, as we only contribute a little towards it!

Kettle is lucky that when he is in the down side, he has tonnes of people trying to ask and give him word of comfort, for me, nope.. I fell myself, and I pick up myself too!  Not that I am saying I am now one successful ones, but I am glad that I am able to provide sufficiently for myself and Princess.  And seriously, I really thank my mum, and my relatives and friends being there.  Not in any seconds, I have doubt on their support and bad mouth about it.  I count my blessing to lead me where I am, and I hope Kettle doing the same.

If Kettle is being calculative in such a manner, then how it will be in the Society?  I can be seen as where I am, as I always put my family first no matter what.  Let my mum has any event or matter, I will surely attend to it FIRST place!  My mum needed to go anywhere, I will surely arrange my time to suit her.  I don't care how my mum thinks of me, most importantly, I done my part!

*sincerely hope that Kettle read this, and take it with open hearts!  Don't drama, just take life a step at a time, life has never easy but if you sit and pound on it, the reality won't happen.. Don't harp on dreams, act on it!

** aren't you amaze that I managed to put the name in as Kettle and Pot? LOL!

A kettle calling a pot black - Drama Part 1

This was just recently happening to me and in my own household.  I am getting way up to the maximum when people 'show' their 'unhappiness for themselves' by exploding to the most tiny minor things happen at home.  The story begins....

Last Friday, I came home with a pot of very welcoming ABC soup (which I don't know who boiled it) in the slow cooker, and with the control at high, almost half of the soup gone either by consumption or drying up.  I found some dried stain at the side of the pot, but ignoring it thinking they might have others who has yet to savor this pot of yummy nutritious soup.  After dinner, I just switch off the slow cooker, and went to bed.

I woke up Saturday morning having a damn headache, and I have to send the 'white babe' for her 1st check-up therefore I dragged myself and Princess out from the house around, sent the 'white babe' for check-up, and had a quick lunch before going to the clinic asking for paracetamol.  I am glad that the check up was done quick, and I only needed an hour to get it over.

Drove home and continue some sleep before the head went burst, and woke up having the same soup and just make some 'chicken claypot rice' for dinner.  I saw the soup depleting,  therefore I transfer it to a smaller pot, and left it on the induction cooker just in case anyone would like to have the soup again at night (which I doubted so).  I soaked the slow cooker pot, as it's too hot, and the stain was difficult to remove.  I left it there in the sink and rest early after dinner.

Next day (Sunday), got up hesitantly to go to church service, but still dragged my feet as my make my vows that should GOD bless me with a permanent transport, I shall go listen to GOD's word each week without fail.  With no valid reason, I drove to church and stopped by at the sundry shop to grab a pack of Panadol since the paracetamol from the clinic was not doing it's job well!  I stayed with Princess throughout her Sunday School, and very unfortunate, the teacher whom supposed to teach her class did not turned up, therefore we left early home.  My head was already about to burst into pieces.

I went home, took 2 Panadol, and sleep the rest of the day till about 4pm!!  I was seriously hungry and tired, but glad that the headache was gone.  I wanted to take Princess out for a swim but seriously, I don't think I can make it that night.  I came out from my room, changed and thought of asking my mum if she would like to join me for shopping, and there I heard the commotion of someone shouting "WOI, WHO SOAK THE POT AND LEFT IN THE SINK"!  "ALWAYS ME THE ONE WASHING"! "EVERY TIME ALSO 'MOU SAU MEI'" and blah blah blah.... then my mum trying to act 'ignorant' asking 'who, what you shouting'... aiyo 'don't do la, all just sit down".. and again the "ALWAYS ME THE ONE WASHING"! "EVERYTIME ALSO 'MOU SAU MEI'" kind of words coming out!  Frankly speaking, I would want to interfere but just feel too tired as a small thing like that, people can get so damn upset and shouting!!  For GOD's sake, it's just a slow cooker pot, and the glass cover!  Even YOU have to WASH IT EVERY TIME, do you think it's too much?  Moreover, YOU drank the soup, you enjoyed it too!!

I quickly went out of the house, trying to brush off the 'silent anger' inside me.. I find that nowadays, walking off is just the BEST way to 'entertain' these people who do nothing, by just sitting at home!  *if I gonna story, I can make a book out of it*

Story end that when I came home, the cooker pot was washed, and no one at home.  I just proceed to clear all my groceries, plus throwing the 2 bags of rubbish lying around at the kitchen.  Off lights, and we went to bed.

Now, do I have to also shout "ALWAYS ME THE ONE THROWING RUBBISH"! "EVERY TIME ALSO 'MOU SAU MEI'"!!!
which of course I didn't la.. coz nobody at home ma.. muahaha.... Gila meh, sendiri scold sendiri...

TO BE CONTINUE..........
Story will continue tomorrow... I got to log off and head home to be with my Princess now..

Days as Receptionist

Today, an announcement made in the office that our dear Receptionist has taken early maternity leave (which later informed that she has gave birth to a healthy baby girl).  So smart that the baby wants the mummy to rest sufficiently and caring for her 2 months, therefore she came out just on the day her mummy took leave!

Last week, we have discussed in the office that there will not be a 'replacement' for the receptionist, and I was asked to sit in for her.  Sitting in front desk is never an issue to me, in fact, I find it GOOD for my current position at work.  I am away from some negative vibes around, and I am able to do more work on my own.  I have known that I will be sitting in for her since the first day I joined the Company and I have asked on the replacement.

I have therefore planned for the work to be carried out during my sitting in days as the receptionist.  I have got all the books out from the office library, and recording them one by one (which it will be difficult for me to do it in my place) and having them label with color stickers!  I am someone who planned my work, and my days, but now I am working in an environment that go without PLANNING despite I am working in an architecture design firm which by nature, most buildings need to be PLAN!

Anyway, that's aside, I have officially commence the life of a 2 months receptionist, and hopefully I am able to pull through this, and enjoy some of the time here being one!

Cheers!

A blogger's child

Do I consider myself as a blogger?  no la.. just that I am using the blog to jot down the memories, therefore I use the term blogger.

Why I start saying so, is that my Princess has seen me taking photos all the time, and she is just another 'imitator'.  I let the photo do the talking.

She now got her hand on my mobile phones when I am holding the camera.  She will say, "mummy, don't eat first, take photo" *faint*

Pre-Mothers Day Dinner + Birthday

Last weekend, we had a fruitful weekend celebrating Mothers' Day and also a birthday together.  I have planned to bring my family, together with the Birthday Man to Sg Buloh for dinner, and in addition, I called my aunt who live in KL when her children are abroad.  Just in time, my eldest auntie called inviting us dinner on Sunday, and we looped everyone in on dinner.  We even have visitors all the way from Singapore without us expecting them!  So, in a large 10 person group, we went for dinner.

We were supposed to be in Sg Buloh as early as 7pm, but due to the concert of another 'kor san' Jacky Cheong, the traffic was bad, and one car was stranded on the Federal Highway, and we only arrived at the restaurant late at 8pm where we can see queues of human beings!  My mum has already taken aback as it's getting late, and we still got to wait for our table!!  Mum was suggesting to eat elsewhere but I have promised the Birthday Man that I will bring him to eat at this restaurant.  So we waited..

Holding the carnation from the bakery to be presented to her 'Ah Ma aka Grandma'
We got our table in less than half an hour, and with all the dishes ordered, the dinner went on smoothly, with each dishes served on the table to let everyone had their share.  We ordered 8 dishes that day, with another 20 mantau eaten together with the pork.  The reason I wanted to bring the Birthday Man here was for

THIS!  I wanted to show him the 'standing chicken'!
Standing Roast Chicken
Clockwise From Top:  Cold served pucuk paku, peanut braised taufu, teapot ginseng soup & satay prawns
For the above, Princess loved the soup!  She managed to sip a few cups of it. Yes, the soup will be served in a tea pot with tea cups instead of bowls.

Final 3 dishes:  Tong Po Pork with Man Tao, Claypot Shu Miu & Claypot Fish
The Shu Miu and Fish welcomed the most among these dishes, and even the next day, my aunt was still commenting how nice it was.

We also celebrated one birthday last week, which was for my uncle (dad's cousin) and guess who the happiest that moment?

The birthday cake

The birthday Man and the Princess!  She thought it was her birthday!!

Enjoying the song 'happy birthday to you'

Cutting the cake!  *slap forehead*

Relive Your Moments With Sam Hui

Sam Hui, a legend to me in the Show Biz, which he created so many songs to be sang till today.  I always remember his 'Japanese Doll' song, where sushi and tempura were mentioned!  His songs are always a link between me and my beloved dad in those days when my dad was around.  Now that he departed and reunion with my grandparents, each time I listened to Sam Hui's song, it reminds me of my dear father.

I just got to know that Sam will be coming to Genting for his concert on 26th May 2012, and the tickets were almost sold out!!  For one that has love Sam for so long, I am willing to climb the highest mountain, swim the deepest sea and stand on stage with Sam in order to get his ticket for myself and my mum to enjoy this magnificent performance.  Despite his age, Sam has not once be shown as an 'old' legend but indeed he is still very charming!! The details of this concerts can be found HERE

You might think I am crazy to even climb the highest mountain and swim the deepest sea to see Sam Hui, but in true, if he will even invite me to stage with me will be the BEST!!  I can even dance and sing and for once, pretend to be the "Japanese Doll" for his song!  It's really a good laugh each time when I hear this song to the time that he sent the girl back, and met the DAD! LOL!  This is how difficult he can be reach for me!

Now, that Genting is running the contest for me to get a chance to get close for him, and I would love to win this ticket so I can also give my mum her Mother's Day Gift (despite late) so she could go enjoy her idol together with me!  Can you imagine having 3 generations watching the 'song god'?!

Mothering Mothers 2012

I posted earlier on informing that we will be making a charity drive this Mothers' Day, and last week, it happened!  We together with other mothers, organizer, and staff from UMMC had successfully marked it a day in the calendar.  We even managed to get more than the gifts that we wanted earlier.  We have collected a total of 200++ gifts, which not just sufficient for the mothers who caring for the ill child, we even distributed it to the nurses.  It was such a coincidence that it was also the Nurse Day when we were there.

I am sharing some photos of the gifts we collected and the group of volunteers.  I did not managed to go visit the wards since I brought Princess along, and myself and the organizer who also brought her baby boy stayed at the lobby waiting for the rest to finish the distribution.  Let me have some photos shown to you.

A panorama view of all the gifts

Gifts collected by all the volunteers

More Gifts and cupcakes contribute from all and a group picture
Since I can't join the rest to distribute the gifts, I had this at the cafe.  Oh, I never know that they had such a nice assam laksa served in UMMC!  (touch wood) if you are there, and happen needed something to cheer you up, why not had a bowl of the assam laksa.

yummy assam laksa!
We all arrived in the hospital on time and it took all the volunteers together with the PR and nurses about an hour to complete the distribution process.  After the distribution, we did actually sit down and yak yak before dismiss.

It's a good experience, and the hospital is newly built and refurbish therefore it doesn't really has that scary look of hospital.  From the visit, I realize that the semi-government hospitals are now more appealing that before.  We have suggestion to do this every year, and hopefully next year we can cover more hospitals such as HUKM and most importantly, our General Hospital of Kuala Lumpur!

I sincerely take this opportunity to also thank all the contributors, volunteers, and not forgetting the organizer together with the nurses for the money and time spent.  It's a meaningful event to start the celebration of my Mothers' Day this year and I hope this can be continue every year.

Thank You!

My Mother's Day Gift

I wanted to write this in day bright, but I just can't bring myself to bed yet.. still overly happy on this morning event.  Let me story...

As an usual morning, I drove Princess to her childcare before heading to work.  This morning, the childminder stop me from leaving and asked me to wait.  She went in to the hall, and asked Princess along.  She passed a 'gift' to Princess, and asked Princess to give it to me.  Princess came hugging me, with Thank You Mummy and I Love You!  My tear drops fell.....  I hugged her tight and told her I love her too!  I thank the childminder, and proceed to work with a big grin on my face.

What I got from the school is this..

A lotus flower.. the green part was colored by Princess, and the childminder did the lotus flower

Later came home from her childcare, Princess pose for a photo with the gift again..

As you are aware, tomorrow will be the Mothering Mothers 2012 event in UMMC, and I am in need to get some gifts for the event.  We both head out of the house, and went to the near complex for dinner (McD) and there, we try out the new babe I bought today.  I am trying various angle, in order to ensure that we can have more Mother and daughter photos together.  I am sure one day I can 'pro' in this part of the photography!
This year marked the 3rd Year into Motherhood, and I am glad that I still go one with the decision of bringing Princess to this world.  Besides that we had some 'unhappy' events some times, but most of the times, we are just GOOD!  Princess will came home telling me what happen in school, and she is now grow to an independent girl which she will be able to handle most of her daily routines on her own.

She has make me understand more on my mum, and how much has she done for me. And to my mum, if she happens to read this, I LOVE YOU!  We will be heading to Sungai Buloh for dinner tomorrow celebrating the day with my mum and aunt, and on Sunday, I have bought the vouchers for brunch at Palace of the Golden Horses.

I take this opportunity to wish all MOTHERS in the WORLD... Happy Mother's Day!!

I finally got it

I was thinking very hard if I should get this for both of us, as I am now using just the phone doing so.  But this morning, something happen that make me want to get it as soon as possible before I continue to lose out the memory!

Yes, after thinking for a long time, I decided to get a camera for ourselves.  For both myself and Princess to capture our moments together.  I wish I could take down every single seconds of her daily life, as then we can recall as and when we wanted it.

After doing so much searching online, where initially camera I wanted to have was not getting good bargain, then I went to get something else.  And here, presenting the tools for increase memory power:-

Picture from Nikon Malaysia Sdn Bhd Website
Picture from Nikon Malaysia Sdn Bhd Website
I got a blue colour, and happy with it.  I came with 8GB of memory card, and also some other accessories which I need.  I am charging the camera now, and we can have the first outing with the camera tomorrow at the Mothering Mother 2012 Project at UMMC.

I am glad that even the project only able to kick start last weekend, we managed to collect more than 100 gifts for the mothers in the Pead ward in UMMC.  I will be there, and hopefully bring some smiles to the Mothers who caring for their sick child.

I count my blessing each day, for those who has made my life when I was suffering, and now when I am able to have a better living, I hope I can repay these people one day.

One item tick off from the wish list.

From a mother point of view

Did you manage to watch the video shared in Facebook last night?  I only survived the first 20 over seconds and decided to stop watching.  I can't bring myself to continue watching the video as I pictured what has the mother going through that causes her acting up like this.

Being a mother myself, a single mother who handle a baby since the 1st day she was born, and caring for the baby 24/7 without any other help or anyone to turn to, I can relate the frustration and emotional hiccups that the mother in the video going through.  After watching it for that 20 odd seconds, it starts to make me wonder..

1)  Why is the mother doing that? and later from Mr G, that the mother is a rape victim, which give birth to the baby and caring for her.  Now, imagine this... rape, pregnant, birth, care all my her own. Isn't that pain for her?

2)  Then news confirmed that the mother is sentenced to 18 months jail term, and the incident happen last year in Petaling Jaya.  Why is the video only started circulating after a year?  who initiated the video circulation?

3)  Isn't a pain for one to 'recollect' the action, after a year?  Are the public putting salt in the victims wound?

4)  In another few months time, the mother will be release from jail, and here I am praying that she repent from her act, and lead a better life in future.

5)  There were reports saying that the child is in welfare and some says she is in a good family now.  For wherever it is, I am praying that the child outgrow this 'shadow' of her life, and in good hands to appreciate the gift of GOD.

It's sad to see event like this happen, and I wish I could really help in all means for single mothers like this who suffer and does not know how to release their emotional stress but to vent out at the child as they might thing that the child is the 'result'.  I am planning to go to the Ministry of Woman, Family and Community Development to check out what they have, and update soon again.

The society is ill, but the one who make up the society is US, I wish that world come to peace, and we can lead a better society should all of us do our part.

On the other hand, I am still collecting gifts for the mothers who caring for their ill child in UMMC, and we are now have more than 100 gifts, and hoping to have more to be distributed on that day.  Is there anyone who like to contribute?

Mothering Mother 2012

Mothering Mother was initiated in year 2004 by Lilian.  This year is the 8th year into action, and being a mother myself, I can relate how tough a mother can be.  With GOD blessing, I am in a better position this year to do some charity, instead of being the receiver like 2 years back.  I am participating in this program this year, and wish to bring better meaning of this year Mother's Day.  The Mothering Mother 2012 program is to care and support those courageous mothers of the terminally ill children in the UM Hospital.  The volunteers will be visiting the terminally ill ward on coming Saturday, May 12th 2012 to distribute gifts and contribution to the Mothers.

I am able to say that I have better means to contribute towards the 'less fortunate' and also to those who has suffer more than myself.  It is a blessing for a healthy child in any ways.  As it's a short preparation time, I am appealing to my readers whom is able to contribute towards the gift to come forward and make this program a success.  We are looking at the gifts which may cost RM20 per gift.  The details below is copied from a fellow blogger / organizer of the program:-

1. Gifts
As much as we love to have each contributor to put their own personal choice/touch to the gifts, we are aware of certain matters regarding sensitivities related to religion, belief or taboos. Breakable items and perishable food are also not suitable. So we have come up with the following list of gifts:

1. Non-perishable food/beverage
2. Toiletries
3. Journal / Diary (better the one without rigid dates daily)
4. Photo album
5. Framed painting /pictures of landscapes, beautiful moments, etc
6. Mini cushions (for hugs)
7. Mini fancy containers / boxes
8. Small elec. appliances
9. Comfy slippers or socks

As for others: mini card + dry fragrant flower, scarves, aromatherapy candles, magnetic decorative item and sarong can be put as side gifts if contributors like.

Packaging
Normal shoe-box size, but not so rigid. I mean the size should not be too big or small as we don't want people to think we do double standard. Not necessarily in shoe boxes, some mothers came with nice paper bags etc depends on their creativity. Make sure they are properly wrapped or tied for easy transportation.

Yes, I won!

Please excuse my excitement.  I received an email from ParenThots that I have won the last best parenting story this April.  The announcement of the winning is HERE.  I have apply leave to collect the prize this Friday afternoon, and will take Princess for a walk around either Bandar Utama or IKEA after that.

After the publishing of the story, and also my earlier blog post, I received more visitors to my blog, and of course words of encouragement pouring in.  I am happy to read all your comments, however apologize that I have yet to find them replying them.  Sorry.

This is gonna be short post as all I want is to say a BIG THANK YOU TO EVERYONE for all the support!

In addition, I have register myself and Princess for the ParenThots craft session which will be held on Saturday, May 26, 2012.  For details:  Click on to HERE
