My 1 day at the Traffic HQ

I was consider lucky, and the officer attended to my case is just nice.

What happen was that I received a letter informing that I am required to be present at the Traffic HQ for an accident reported, happen sometime in early March 2010. This accident report to me, is just plain LAME. What happen was that I was reversing my car, and someone (a man) who stayed a few house away from me enter from the main road. Being my house is the corner, and there is a slope, somehow the 'blind spots' are more than others. My car hit the side of his car while reversing, and he entering without noticing me!

After some 'exchange of words', *this man is in his top most anger* while me trying to tell him that this was a 2 persons mistake... me for not able to notice him entering, and himself too for not noticing me or make himself 'noticeable' by giving me a honk. He insisted that I should pay for his car damage (which is a dent just at the side) but I think we should bear each other cost (my car had some scratch too). He just refuse and making a big hu ha in front of my house.. and he told me, "in this case, I report police".. and I coolly told him to go ahead.

So, this explain why I got a letter from Traffic to attend to the case.. and while I was there, I noticed also my driving license 'expired'. *sei for lor* One wave not stop, another wave up...

The police officer is kind to issue me a 'warning' and tell me to renew the license first thing on Monday (which I have done this morning before entering office).. Then back to the 'Sargent' that handle my accident case.. and after some 'very cham' story telling, the Sargent also issue me a 'warning'..

I consider myself lucky in meeting 2 nice police officers at the place, and was not being 'bomb' with hefty fine.. and I bought along Princess (maybe that also give some '同情分'

I am glad that I am spare, but got to make sure that next time reversing my car in 'full care'...

When you get struck and nothing can be done

I mean my MODEM!!

My home modem has been struck by the lightnings and it's now lay in peace on the computer table.. therefore my only on-line will be at work.. *now thank GOD that I got a job that my boss care-less' of what I am typing with the sound of the keyboard, as long as when he needs me to do his stuff, I am there*

It's been quite a while that I did not put up a post.. sorry to my blog, with no intention that I 'anak tiri' it, but some how I am so occupied with the little Princess.

She now knows well that when I walk towards my computer desk, she will start to follow, and she will ask to be carry... then when I just sit and laze around in the sofa, she is all alright with it as long as I am NEAR her..

What people will tell me when I start to 'grumble' on this 'gluey' Princess of mine? they ask me to appreciate before I know Princess will have her own world.. but "dear Princess, mummy is already slowly losing mine before you had yours" muahhaa... Nevertheless, I am still happy...

Last week, I had a long long meet up with a secondary school friend of mine, we did not meet for at least a minimum of 5 years.. and we have know each other for at least 16 years since in school.. so happy for her, that she is expecting her 2nd ones in October

Then while walking towards to Harvey Norman, as one of the cordless phone in office was faulty, I bumped into another 'old' friend... oh mine, it such a wonderful feeling that whenever we bump into friends... iLike IT!

The weekend ended with another good and nice gathering, with food and loads of goodies (can't post pic coz it's in my phone)however if your imagination can run while, I have a)pomelo b) leong sui c) konyakku jelly with peach d) lo mai fun e)lemonade kind of leong sui f) keropok sotong g)strawberry jam... nice right?

as for the dinner gathering, I can tell, most of you will know what gathering I had if you have a same blogroll as mine in coming a week or two.. *my will be doing the posting*

my dear friends, please bear with a few posts that may not have pictures, as I can't do that with my lappy nowadays... so, just got to do that in office...

*pls pray that I can stick on this job longer since I have so much {freedom} so you guys are updated even when I got struck again*

Client oh client

I am now working in an design firm, which deals with quite a number of MNCs… and today, I just did something which is out of my ‘norm’… I told the client that since we can’t agree on the price, we will not proceed handling her project.

I always believe, ‘if you pay peanuts, you get monkey doing the job’ and therefore, with additional work that is out of our scope, I will write in to the client and inform of the additional charges.

And of course, being the client, she not happy… and commenting that why are we charging on every single extra job that she asked us to add.. but this is what the Company policy says.. of course, we have exception if our designers can take it, but most of the time, we don’t compromise on this.

Anyway, back to this client.. she was first telling us what is the design concept, and showing us some ‘work’ that was previously done by us and wanted to re-use it again.  Ask for a discount when the quote was given.  OK, fine.. we compromise… and out of a sudden, the whole idea is scrap and we have to re-do the whole design with a different product! and of course we revert back to the initial before discount quote price… and she is NOT HAPPY! and she says it’s not her fault for briefing us ‘uncertainties’ in the beginning!

haha… this was the first time I handle a client, that tell me this… so, I told her that it’s her responsibility to ensure us that her direction is correct, before we further doubt her next time.  How to work with her when she suka suka say she is ‘uncertain’ and suka suka change her idea and product after we have done the initial concept design?  No way I am going to let the designers being deprive of their effort in bringing up the design and got dumped..

With all the support I got from my boss, and he being an understanding boss, he knows what we are going to expect further with this kind of client.  Sometimes, seriously.. when it come to client, I seldom say NO… I just have to put my feet firm on the ground to tell her this.

OK.. rant complete.. :D

I blog about myself getting lucky again last Friday, and today, me and my little Princess went to Dish Deli, Solaris for the celebration.  My mum had class, so I brought back the gifts for her… in the Chinese says, 借花敬佛…

This event was organised by Best Events, and by Ms Hanniz who had did a great job for us, the mommies… We are treated for lunch, with drinks and desserts too!  Best Events can handle any event that you have in mind, for you… from SCRATCH!  I should consider them if I really got the budget to do Princess’s 2nd birthday ya… :D

Dish Deli, is a restaurant that prepare home cooked meal, and beside dining in, you will be able to have it bring back home for your convenience too!  In addition, they have baby food!!! :D

The restaurant ambience is very child friendly, where they have a little corner for the children to play, beside it’s cosy sitting!  I love it, and maybe will go there again some time…

Some ‘brainless’ driver

I am sorry if I offended anyone, but these were some ‘brainless’ driver who considerate and no having very high safety senses.  It’s very difficult to tell when, and how an accident can happen, and when it really happen, then only cry and foul over it, too late!

I normally have very high level of tolerance in traffic, and never want to really create any scene but when I had the following situations, I just can’t help to capture them…

DSC01074 DSC01075

Double park with engine ON, and a kid inside!

DSC01132 Taking 3 empty lots with 2 cars, and the culprit is the silver saga, coz this is the 2nd day it happen!

Somehow, I will always ‘voice’ my honk if I drive, and when I have a bad feeling that thad driver is not concentrating, I always very worry on people knocking into me.

However, I know there are people who very sensitive when people honk… and get annoyed with it.. but sometimes a horn actually can create awareness and alert…

Don’t know where I am heading to… but just ranting… :p
